GREENWICH GREENHOUSE

Situated atop a hill overlooking a man-made pond, the greenhouse utilizes reclaimed brick and limestone to balance the glass and aluminum frame. This allows the greenhouse to feel grounded while still welcoming the indoor- outdoor experience. The interior stair creates an easy passage to the lower level space where circulation for storage, tools and facilities can be accessed during inclement weather. The spacing of the joists was intended to allow for ridge vents that automatically open to exhaust excess heat. The overall height of the space was designed to allow for sufficient pitch of the roof, ensuring proper scale of the greenhouse from a distance.
